Korean Mobirates to Mobilates Switch-Around

I never got the chance to buy an actual Mobirates, but I did get to buy the Legends Mobirates.  But even though I got it I still wanted a show accurate one. So I bought a Korean Mobirates and decided to switch the contents.
The First off I had to decide If what front I wanted to keep. The Captain Force front or the Mobilate from. I decided to go for the silver one because I wanted a Gokaiger Mobirates and to be nowhere near the Captain Force label... They should have called it Pirate Force or Super Megaforce or Buccaneer Force. Anything is better then Captain Force...
Any way I did some preparation before hand on my Legends Mobirates so it will be a few steps further. I also made sure I got everything I needed. Though I kinda wish that I had thinner scissors. The first thing I removed where the fronts.
When totally opening it you can see a trend. Every chip made by Bandai Japan is green, Everything made by Bandai Korea is brown/beige.
The first thing I removed are the springs that cause the ''X'' to open whenever a key is insterted
I am always very distrustfulness of these things. So damn easy to lose!
With that done you'll have to look to the left of the Mobirates. The thing you'll have to remove is the spring that keeps the Mobirates up and the piece that holds it down. If you done right it should looks like the Mobirates on the right.
Next up is to take the top of and remove the spring engine that make that awesome click when you open it. But carefully though. For some reason the Korean fell apart and I had to fix it.
Now to remove the backs of the ''X'' parts. You need to do this because you'll need to get in the spring parts in order to safely remove the light chip installed in to the middle of it. Be sure to cut the plastic rim keeping the wire down though. I wish I could have done it better. But sadly the scissors where to thick and now it just looks ugly. Not that it totally matters though. Its on the inside lol
Now with the Light chips out of the way and the engines back in place its time to switch around the chips in the main body. This was ironically the easiest part lol. Just look out for the audio pat on the side. Its highly magnetic so you'll be better off if you keep the screws away.
Now that the main chip is removed from both the mobirates you put the two outer parts back together.
And do the switch
From there its just repeating the same steps but backwards. And provided that you haven't screwed up the spring parts that makes the ''X'' emblem open it should work:
And with that I got my new Mobirates! And the best thing is that it can read the Gobusters and Aka Red keys now!! :D

S.H.Figuarts Gokai Silver

Guess the next one up is my Gokai Silver! This is my first Super Sentai S.H.Figuarts and will certainly not be my last.

The box survived the trip as expected from AmiAmi. And I got it for cheaps too. I only paid 25 for this thing
I still needed to get used to posing so these pics aren't that great. But I did noticed that some of the joints where a bit to tight. It was like an total opposite of my Cure Passion lol
One thing I did notice is that even though his key is so damn tiny its still somehow not to scale with his Gokai Cellular. Its not that much of an hassle but its just weird to see lol
Sadly I do not have any up-to-date 6th Ranger figures to make him Gokai Change, But I plan to get Shinken Gold soon. I do like that they added the pointy finger :)
I love his Gokai Spear Gun-mode. The design is just so epic, and the fact that its so well painted doesn't help me not wanting to get the DX version lol
Speaking of painted and non-painted. Early on I realised that he's almost in scale with my old Power Ranger Figures. As such he can hold the Power Weapons with ease!
This makes me so happy. Now he can use both of them not only in gun-modes but also as axe-modes. IMO this would have worked great for the Gokai Spear as an 4th mode. It really looks like it would do some damage.
Back to the Spear itself. My mom mentioned how fine the work on it is. And I cannot specify enough how true this is. But sadly I see one fault that the spear doesn't seem to have. I am missing a Ranger Key to do a Final Wave. There isn't even an option to put one in. Which is weird because the other Gokaigers did get slots and even tinier keys. A bit saddening
But I guess they tried to make up with it by giving the Gokai Spear in to the anchor mode. Then again this makes me less sure that there will be a Gold Mode of this figure. Still I am happy that I got it.
This figure is a must have for any Super Sentai fanboy. Its an perfect excuse to add more playability be giving him older weapons and have him gawk at your zords.
I am glad that I bought him. People complain about the not looking like spandex part, but I could not care less. So there's more to follow. Its just a matter of choosing what S.H.Figuarts to buy next.

Next time I don't know what I am going to post. So many choices so little time. :)

DX Legend Mobirates + Ranger Keys

After waiting to long with the original Mobirates and then waiting to long to pay for this Mobirate I finally got one right here.
The box is kinda ''meh'' I don't really like the Legend Ranger Key boxes especially this one with the dull blue and the blur of red formed by all the Red Sentai on the front. I like the original green box more. It was simple but effective. I do like the several different Red Sentai profiles on the top and bottom though. That looks great! Opening the box we get exactly what we expect. The ''Mobilate'' is a big bulky phone which only gets bulkier when closed.
I am not going in to the outward details here, I am more focused on the sounds. I do wish they had kept the old sounds that the original had. I miss the Mecha codes and the other extra stuff. And IMO the encyclopaedia isn't all that special. I'd rather had them making more mecha codes, or adding sounds that you'd normally hear on the Gokai Cellular (technically they did but only for Dragon Ranger, Go-onwinx, and the Goraigers in the encyclopaedia mode) I can see why they took those away but this doesn't really make it worth the money any more. At least compared to the original :)

The Ranger Keys

So lets start with 75 to 81, These keys are all perfect IMO. A little bit of scuff marks on Akaranger and Vul Eagle. This did not happen on the way here. They are rejects of the Bandai production line in China. Apperently the dude who sold them to me works for Bandai, and also steal from them. Sad for Bandai... Good for me :D My favourite here is Battle Japan, This is due to the colour scheme. I just like how well the red and white work for it. :)
Now on to 82 to 86. The first thing I noticed when I got my SP set is that Goggle Red has a huge scratch on the black part between his legs. This is probably why the Japanese Otaku who owned it dumped the set at one of Mandarake's stores. I find it really weird how all the keys in this set look half-assed and yet they did they did get off their asses to make Red One's chest all detailed. They did not even bother to colour the lines Change Dragon's helmet! Aaargh!
86 to 91 look good for the most part. I'd say Red Falcon looks the best of these. It captures the mask perfectly and the suit looks the best. My Red Sentai, Red Turbo however... Just... God its so ugly!! Why did they make the visor on helmet so tiny?!? And why did they not let the white line go down to the all the way on his chest?!? The Gashapon version looks way better!!
And we've entered the PR era. In 92 to 96 we get the first mix of all the three of keys I got. We got the the ones which where stolen and sold to me from China with Tyranno Ranger, Ryu Ranger and Red Racer. Then we got the Gashapon with Ninja Red and Oh Red from the SP set. Tyranno Ranger was the first key that tipped me off about them being rejects stolen from the factory. The paint job on the chest is okay, but his visor is totally out of synch, It doesn't bother me, But at least it makes it stand out. Ninja Red was the last one I needed, and I found him while making another purchase (and failing with it) The seller send it and it was here in record time. He even gave me a Gashapon Go-on Black figure with it and a Mini Poster of Ultraman Saga. Man this dude is awesome :D
We finally enter my favourite Sentai era, 97 to 01! So much awesome here! Both in Sentai AND Power Rangers. <3 <3 Okay now to the thing that really tipped me off about the keys, I got out of China being stolen rejects. Go Red's neck is like an inch to long!! I did not even need to compare it to the Gashapon version I bought later, because from the back it was clearly longer then any of the other keys! It was so obvious! xD. Not much else to say here. Time red has annoying spot of black paint on his visor and I really which they at least put the squares on Mega Red's chest...
Onward to the DISNEY RUINS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH SENTAI EXCEPT FOR GO-ONGER era. I got 2 Gashapons for this era, Abare Red and Bouken Red, They are fine, its just that for some reason EVERY key I ordered from this dude called Takeshi has this weird problem around the leg part. Most of the keys leg parts close neatly against the key part when in Ranger mode. These do not, They have this weird bent like they where super heated or something. I am surprised they can even stand. Any way out of this era my fav has to be Magi Red's key. It has the best paint and the least scuff marks out of all the ''stolen keys'' Like Deka Red has on his black arm. That one really annoys me. I should go paint that later.
I like to call this the ''Camille Is Not A Good Replacement For Mele, And Saban What The Hell Are You Going To Do After Samurai!?!'' era :) Yeah... About the stickers. Funny thing is the seller had more then one of the same keys. So I bought extra to give to fellow Toku fans and friends. I knew he typed that some did not have stickers because of the translator. But that was for the set I first bought. And seeing how all the keys I bought had stickers I thought he already sold those. So after ordering again I had 2 versions of each key. 1 with stick and 1 without. I gave Dannyboy, Gekired, OtakuRedRanger and Tokudeka the ones that had stickers instead of keeping those. It seemed the decent thing to do. Also this way I kept the ''Special'' Gokai Red key which was included in the EX set but was swiped from the production line by the seller :D
And now we get to the final era. the ''Its Morphin Time!'' Era. Consisting of only Red Buster for now. Which has if I do say so myself the best details out of all the keys I own. The even painted the damn ear hole things on the side of his sunglasses. He's cool. But I still don't like the series that much. Its kinda meh for me. And finally we get to the Spirit of the Red Rangers himself Aka Red!! I dunno what to say really he's perfect. They really did a good paint job on all his details and the red sparkly lines all over his suit. And lastly and especially least my failed attempt at a Void key. An hero I want to include in to my Shinigami-Rider Fan-Fic later then sooner. Its head is okay but I failed to make certain detail. I failed at making the oval eyes so he looks more like an unfinished symbiote Spider-man from the 3rd movie. I am happy with those lines though. One of them is hard to see but they are in the right place, roughly... If you look at the suit there you have the strap on his chest which is supposed to represent one of his drive slots which uses to activate his attacks for. And that's sadly the only one visible. He also has one on his belt which I clearly can't as you can see from all the red there. And one on each gauntlet. Which can't be shown because like a wrist changer its on the sides of the arm. I did my best but I also fail miserably. Especially on the chest. That circle there is supposed to be a still hole of nothingness. Yet it looks like I accidentally scratched a lay of paint off and was to lazy to fix it. Even worse I placed it to close to the strap so it also ruins that a bit lol. Any way I'll be printing stickers for the key soon. Hope it works out.
So that's my current Ranger Key collection. As I said I attained most of by buying it off some dude on Taobao. Who turned out to have stolen all of them at different stages Bandai factory's production line. Just to sad he could not grab up an Abare Red and Bouken Red for me, Then I wouldn't have to buy the Gashapon versions off Ebay. And the other part was luckily the SP set from Mandarake which almost sealed the deal. I just needed Red Buster which I bought from HLJ at the same time. The Ride & Go version was a smart move. So I did not need to buy the CD exclusive key or even worse wait out my chances for the Go-Busters Ranger Key set 01. I like how it went. I got all of them for a reasonable price and I did not need to buy any extra keys with them. I think I only paid like 40 in total with shipping for all of the keys except for the Legend Mobirates which I got from AmiAmi at the last moment.
Speaking of the Mobirates it fits in nicely with the rest of my toku role-play stuff. I barely have any space for anything new. But I guess I can box some stuff. As for what I got now I'll blog about them sooner or later. I am just distracted with all the goodies I still have to blog about next. :)

Super Sentai 199 Hero Great Battle Ending Theme RAW

I stayed up yesterday to watch this movie and its was worth it! It owns Lets Go All Riders in so many levels!! I loved  how they made it possible to call on all the Sentai without Basco and I love the new look of Black Star Fuhrer. It has so little faults. But the main one is the title 199? there's still allot of heroes missing and even with those counted there's still not 199! The main problem I have is the fact that Ninjaman and Gumajin are missing from the *extra* heroes line-up. (more are missing but I care the most about those two) You could argue that at least one of the two could be counted as an extra mecha but that still leaves Ninjaman who in all respect would have fitted in more with the extra heroes then Zubaan! Any way I love the fights even though they do the same old *splitting up to beat the enemy* trick they always used for these anniversary movies and team-ups. And the last battle is just EPIC especially because of the music that was used!

Any way have some Super Sentai Roll Call:
The raw was provided by Gustavaum from TokuRawRevolution even though I downloaded it from somewhere else. And the DVD will be released on the 21st quickly followed by the fansubs provided by Overtime and Grown Ups In Spandex. (and next year maybe TV-Nihon too) Seriously go watch this movie!!

Thank you for reading and listening. Enjoy the movie! :)

35th Super Sentai Anniversary Mecha Part 2: DX Gokai Pat Striker

So this is my first and last toy of the DX Gokai Machine line. The others are either to expensive to or not really worth the trouble.
Fan video edited by Theippachai
Pat Striker

The reason why this is my first and last Gokai Machine is simple. I just <3 Dekaranger! Not only that but I always loved the Deka Machines especially Pat Striker with it streamlined form. The moment I saw the first pictures in the rumour thread of HJU I knew I wanted to buy it. It has that beautiful red in the front with the somewhat cheesy but still awesome rainbow patterned sticker on the front like Machine Doberman and Machine Bull from the original show. I also like how this thing fits together. Aside from a few white lines like on the logo's on back and front you can't really say its not a one piece car. I've decided not to take photo's of it (lazy) but the lights and sounds on this thing is epic! I like how much it looks like the lights on the actual Dekaranger mecha. And my only strife with it is that they didn't do much with the lights. They could have let the lights go on and off switching from left to right like on a actual siren does. It would look nicer then just the regular on and off.
Any way lets take this police car apart and move on! ^_^
Deka Gokaioh

I find the fact that you have to take it apart and open everything up a bit of a downer. If you put the middle piece in its button will be pressed down and it will make the sounds before you plan to lol. But when spinning that wheel on the back its worth it with the awesome gattai sound and the cool finishing sound which actually does sound like multiple bullets instead of just one sound that's really scrambled. I love it!

Deka Gokaioh (Gun Mode I guess?)

Well this mode.... I do compliment it for the fact that the guns actually do look like the D-magnum from the side. what I do dislike though is that the left arm has that stupid canon in the way again and the other arm isn't holding it that great either.... Still at least they tried! I hope the SRC version fixes this problem. :)

And that's my Pat Striker its something I loved buying it, and it did not involve my wallet being punched in the money bags till it bled out those precious dollars.... Unlike what I still have to pay the shipping costs for.... O well that's for another time. See you in the next blog xD
